Indiana Property Tax

Property tax in Indiana is getting way out of hand. I know some people whose tax bill will increase by more than 100%. The elderly and fixed-income homes are in big trouble, and most may not have the resources to survive the tax increase and still keep their homes. On top of the property tax, Mayor Peterson is also asking for a $90 million income tax increase. I bought a house last year and noticed that lenders will bend over backwards to help you get a home, but then no one will do anything to help you keep it. It's no wonder the foreclosure rate in Indiana is so high.

Lenders are in the job of selling you the loan, after that, they don't give a shit what happens to you. They already made their money, now they'll sell it to a collection agency and it won't cut too badly into their profits. The collection agency will add fees and will make money off of it. Now two companies have made money off of you, and you still don't have a house.

Congress needs to toughen up the predatory lending laws in this country, and potential homeowners need to stop being such dumbfucks - don't buy that big of a house, don't put all that fancy shit in it when you can't afford it. Don't let some slick, former fraternity brother asshole that can't get a real job sell you a house you can't afford.

We live in a country that is very materialistic, its all about how they look and not who they are. I don't think the average person thinks about the long term and how they will survive if loose their job or not able to work. What do they do next? The system is set up to reward the rich and screw the middle class. Most of us are living paycheck to paycheck. So, basically, we’re fucked!

Fucked, indeed! Thanks for the laugh, Kaite. It doesn't matter if Democrats are in charge (lets raise taxes so we can pay for free abortions for terrorists) or Republicans (we'll stupidly cut taxes and give refunds until we go broke and then have to raise them a lot, all at once), but you are indeed, fucked; so bend over and spread em' for those Yankton pricks (ode to Deadwood).

It seems that the government keeps digging bigger and bigger holes to get us into! Is it too much to ask for a country that the government actually is doing something positive and helping its people and not trying to send them overseas to get them killed? Does this make any sense at all?
