Socialite Paris Hilton was recently sentenced to 45 days in jail for a probation violation. In the past 2 days several petitions have been started, both for and against Gov. Schwarznegger pardoning Hilton. One person signing the petition to keep Hilton's sentence was quoted saying "I'll sign this because it means 45 days of Hilton-free news". (Editor's Note: I don't want to hear about Hilton again until I can post her obit in this space. When I said that about Anna Nicole Smith, she was dead 2 weeks later; maybe we'll get lucky again).

George Michael, 43, pleaded guilty to driving while on prescription drugs Tuesday in a London court. Michael was found by police slumped over the wheel of his car. Michael is quoted as saying "I did something very stupid...I am very aware that I did something wrong and I got into my car when I was unfit to drive". (Editor's Note: At least he wasn't blowing a guy in a park this time)
