For the first time in forty years, the U.S. Government has issued a quarantine order. A particularly virulent and dangerous form of TB was found in a man who recently traveled to Europe and re-entered the U.S. through Canada, prompting U.S. authorities to quarantine him at an Atlanta, GA area hospital.

Ten American soldiers were killed in Iraq over the Memorial Day weekend. Additionally, five Britons were kidnapped from a government office in Baghdad by men dressed in Iraqi police uniforms. 112 U.S. Soldiers have been killed in Iraq this month.

President Bush imposed new sanctions on Sudan this morning, citing genocide. Mr. Bush restricted U.S. persons or businesses from doing business with 31 Sudanese companies, and 3 Sudanese individuals.

In response to rising crime rates, IMPD is starting a curfew crackdown. As schools are ending session for the summer, IMPD and local law enforcement agencies are planning on running "curfew sweeps" to keep children at home during the evening hours.
